Sheffield, NY Brass & Iron Fireplace Set. From a 1770s Chippendale design! Enjoy gorgeous Chippendale brass styling at its peak appeal in this 6-piece solid brass and iron fireplace set! Each solid brass andiron features a spiral flame and diamond finials above a spiraled, tapered column. The highly ornate cabriole legs feature two spurs and claw-and-ball feet. Design was borne in Philadelphia, and was deftly copied by Sheffield, NY in likely the early 20. Each andiron is made from solid brass with cast iron. Each andiron is stamped "SHEFFIELD NEW YORK" with a part number on the base. The set also includes three tools, including a cast iron-tipped poker, claw tongs, shovel, housed in a matching stand, all in brass and iron. This antique fireplace set is in VERY GOOD condition! The andirons show moderate wear and no major damage or flaw. The tools show moderate wear and variable patina.

These would be perfect to keep as is or shine back to their original luster! Andiron dimensions: 20 in tall x 10 in wide x 18 ½ in long Toolholder height: 32 ½ in. Your item will come from a pet and smoke-free home.
