CORBIN 1905'MARSEILLES' BRASS ENTRY SET wit MORTISE LOCK w/KEY - RESTORED (14261). Vintage, circa 1905: Salvaged CORBIN'Marseilles' brass knobs and plates. We found it with a Russell & Erwin 0122 mortise entry set and it works perfectly. The mortise is well made, very nice patina, push button with the key.

BACKPLATES: Heavy cast brass'Marseilles' backplates by Corbin are 10 3/4" long and 2 3/8" wide. KNOBS: The'Marseilles' knobs are also heavy brass cast and measure 2 3/4 high. FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a heavy steel brass washed face plate with a length of 7 5/8" and a width of 1" and thickness of 1/8. MORTISE BOX: The mortise box itself is brass and it is 3 1/8" deep from the front edge of the brass faceplate and it is 4 1/2" high, 11/16 thick, clearly marked with the RUSSWIN logo in the casting. The lock is Russwin model 0122 which was later redesignated as the 7122.

BACKSET: The backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 1/2. DROP: The drop the distance from the the center of the knob post hole to the center of the top of the key slot is 2 5/8. KNOB POST: The lock accommodates a standard 5/16 split pivot knob post and it is with the set. KEY: The lock comes with the key USAGE: While designed with the push button to be used on an exterior door, the lock could be used on an interior passage door.
