ASK ABOUT OUR LOCK TRADE IN PROGRAM. FULL SET: CORBIN #1230 1/4 DOUBLE KEY DOOR LOCK MORTISE SET w/KEYS (13847). Vintage, circa 1900-20: Salvaged P. CORBIN mortise lock #1230 1/4 entry mortise lock set. The 1230 1/4 was featured in their catalogs from about 1927.

Push button entry mortise has been cleaned and fully restored. We include both of the keys, a double keyed exterior backplate, two brass or bronze knobs, the key escutcheon for the inside of the door and the knob escutcheon for the interior of the door. MORTISE LOCK BOX: Mortise lock has a heavy brass face plate with a great patina and a length of 6 3/4" and a width of 1" and thickness of 1/8. BACKSET: Backset the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 5/8.

SCREWS: Screws are on 5 7/8 centers. BOX: The box measures 3 5/8" deep from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the back of the box and it measures 4 5/8" top to bottom.

DROP: The drop from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion at the top of the first key slot is 1 5/8. The same measurement is 3 to the round portion of the lower key hole.

KNOB POST or KNOB SHAFT: The lock accommodates a standard 5/16 split knob post. If you need one let us know, we may be able to supply one. REVERSIBILITY: The lock is reversible.

KEY: The lock comes with both the upper and the lower key and they work well. EXTERIOR BACKPLATE: Heavy cast brass or bronze, decorative and double key opening, measures 8 1/2" long and 2 1/2" wide. INTERIOR KNOB ESCUTCHEON: Knob escutcheon or rosette is decorative and cast brass. KNOB SET: Matching set, shown in the 1907 Clinton catalog, brass or bronze finish, 2 1/4 diameter, wonderful condition. STRIKEPLATE: If you are replacing an existing set you may not need one.
