CORBIN mortise lock #1251 entry mortise lock, featured in their catalogs from about 1927. Push button entry mortise has been cleaned and fully restored. We include the key, both brass backplates and both brass knobs, full door set! MORTISE FACE: Mortise lock has a heavy brass face plate with a great patina and a length of 6 7/8" and a width of 1 1/8" and thickness of 1/8. MORTISE LOCK BOX: The box measures 3 1/2 from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the back of the box. It measures 4 3/4 in height. BACKSET: Backset the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 1/2. SCREWS: Screws are on 6 1/8 centers. DROP: The drop from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion at the top of the key slot is 3 1/8. KNOB POST or KNOB SHAFT: The lock accommodates a standard 5/16 split knob post. It is included in the set. KNOBS: Both knobs are brass, original to the set and included with the set, each with a 2 1/4 diameter. BACKPLATES: Both plates are brass, the interior plate measures 2 1/2" wide by 7 1/2" long. The exterior plate measures 3" wide by 11" long.
