Owl with Pinecone Cast Brass Rocking Blotter Antique Judd Manufacturing Co Art Nouveau. This blotter is an uncommon and important part of a desk set. The Judd Foundry started with casting brass.

This is piece is brass. When they changed to iron in 1910 they put 4-digit numbers on the bottom of each desk set piece. The iron pieces have a brown coating to prevent rusting but are often listed as having rust.
