PENN #9300 ART DECO BRASS ENTRY MORTISE LOCK SET w/KEYS 7 3/4 FACEPLATE (10701). Vintage: Art Deco Entry Set: Extremely well made, very nice brass plates and glass knobs with a brass face #9300 mortise lock. Push button lock, maker marked PENN HARDWARE on the box.

PENN had at least two variations of the 9300: While both were push button entry locks they built one with a deadbolt and one without the deadbolt. This lock does have the deadbolt and the interior brass backplate has a thumb turn that activates the deadbolt from inside the house. Box is 3 1/4" deep from the back of the front plate and it is 5 5/8" top to bottom.

Screws are on 7 centers. Step back from the front of the front plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 1/2. This lock utilizes a 3/8" - 5/16" transitional knob post that is included with the set and with two cut glass knobs. It comes with a vintage Penn cylinder and two keys.

The exterior brass backplate measures 10" top to bottom and the interior brass backplate measures 7" top to bottom. The drop from the center of the lock cylinder opening to the center of the knob post hole is 3 3/8. Very clean inside and out, extremely well made, no rust, functions very well, with key!
