Brass pinned with flat pins on the faces.. The wood is very dark and dense..

Now that's another story.. Does NOT have the "strains" of bone.. And a cherry red pin does not leave a mark.. The end of the box is MIA.

They look, feel and sound OLDE.. I have had them for about 40-45yrs.
