Here's a lovely door hardware design from days gone by, with Victorian or Art Nouveau notes of fancy vines, flowers, and beading. Circa early 1890's, made of cast and wrought brass, this hardware was manufactured by the famous Philip and Frank (P&F) Corbin Hardware Co.

The "Roanoke" pattern was introduced and available as early as 1891 in Corbin's hardware catalog, with impressive rococo design and various floral motifs in relief; one of the most beautiful patterns that Corbin made. Each 4 piece set of antique, solid brass door knobs & plates is a beloved design; a timeless, beautiful style that is as popular today as it was when it was introduced, probably even more so. 2 solid brass knobs; (2.25) with bold flanges. 2 ornate door plates (8" x 2") with dramatic casting and classic keyholes. 1 clean spindle and 2 set screws.

A fabulous 4 piece set! Paint, crud, old polish, corrosion, parts that are so rusted together you can't even get them apart when you try to install them!

I don't sell junk. This set will be clean and ready to install when you receive it, even the spindles and set screws.

Everything comes apart, making for easy installation! And, this hardware will last forever, with minimum care! As with all antique, old, vintage and pre-owned items, these may have some degree of visible wear, discoloration, dust, tarnish.

Patina and finish may vary from piece to piece. While old, this item is still in r. Its not like-new or perfect but displays very well; I consider it to be in very good to excellent vintage condition, consistent with age and use. With no major issues noted.

These oldies were originally used with a mortise lock that was mortised (slipped) into the edge of the door, but you don't need one; a "tube latch" will work just fine on modern doors. I can provide either tube latch or mortise lock (with proper key), for additional cost.
