There are some nicks to wood, some scuffs a few brass pieces need tiny nails for reinforcement BUT still Gorgeous and very ornate with the details. There is hardware for a Skelton key but no key. Box opened is approx 19" by 12" wide.

The velvet is split on the bend as shown. Comes with matching wooden ink well on stand.
