LOCKWOOD T-8702 FULL LOCK SET w/THUMB PRESS, CYLINDER, KEYS, KNOB, PLATE (14910). 7 3/4 HEAVY BRASS FACEPLATE, CIRCA 1930', LOCKWOOD MODEL T-8702, FULL MORTISE LOCK ENTRY SET, COMPLETE AND FULLY RESTORED, CLEAN, WITH, STRIKE PLATE MATCHING KNOB, THUMB PRESS EXTERIOR HANDLE, KEY ESCUTCHEON PLATE AND A NEW CYLINDER WITH TWO KEYS, WORKS GREAT. Vintage: circa 1930: Complete mortise lock entry set. It is in wonderful condition, completely restored and works perfectly.

This Lockwood T-8702 set comes with a new Security Guard brass cylinder and two keys. Utilizes a thumb press handle from the oustide and a turn knob from the inside. FACEPLATE: Brass faceplate measures 7 3/4" long, 1" wide, 1/8 thick. BOX: Box is 3 5/8" deep from the front edge of the brass face plate and it is 5 1/2" top to bottom. SCREWS: Screws are on 6 7/8 centers.

BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front edge of the faceplate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 1/2. DROP: The drop (the distance from the center of the lock cylinder hole down to the center of the knob post hole) is 3 3/4. KNOB POST/SHAFT: The lock is made for a 1/2 split post and has a 5/16 opening and a brass knob and that is for use on the inside of the door. EXTERIOR THUMB PRESS HANDLE: The exterior of the door utilizes the brass thumb press handle that is pictured. The mounting screws for that handle are included in the set.

DEADBOLT THUMB TURN KNOB: The lock set comes with a thumb turn knob that fits into the cam for a thumb latch that throws the deadbolt from inside the door. BRASS DOOR KNOB: Comes with a brass knob, 2 1/4 diameter and with the brass back plate that has the deadbolt thrum turn knob integrated into it. KEY LOCK CYLINDER: Set comes with the original escutcheon for the brass Security Guard key cylinder and, as mentioned, two keys.

The cylinder back plate pattern matches the thumb press handle. STRIKEPLATE: Large brass strike plate as pictured is included in the set.

This is a well made mortise lock. Clean, no rust, functions very well, heavy duty and with keys! Corbin was right: Great houses do deserve great hardware!
